Bought this for my newer eTrex Vista HCx and does not work. The Back case is larger on the HCx model because of the memory card you plug in.They come with the clip.so now I have to buy Just the Handle Bar Mount.Gave the unit to my Brother,who I'ld sold my other GPS to.fit it like a charm.
Again use the little adapter that comes in with the Garmin itself. Therefore IT WON'T WORK FOR THE HCx.
Be sure to use the bracket/clip that comes with the Garmin HCx unit. This is an adapter.
I got the bracket and HCx for Christmas. The plate that comes with the bracket is for the eTrex HC series that DO NOT HAVE the SD card.
The plate that comes with the bracket will not fit on the back of the Garmin, because of the SD card bulge. The HCx has a little bulge in the rear plate for the SD card.
The bulge on the unit prevents the cover plate from fitting.
Works well on an off road motorcycle.Holds up to a lot of jarring and shaking.
This works extremely well with the Etrex series from Garmin. I have 4 of the mounts for my motorcycles and bicycles. In just a second any of the Etrex models (I have three different models of them) can be mounted. Mount is flexible enough to use with all the handlebars I have encountered, looks good, and doesn't rust or discolor over time.
Mounted one on my Bike and my Son's bike. The mount was easy and we just our time to find geocache's in half.
